Every year around the holidays I get asked about this game. My sister had shared about it on @gobefun_co where you can see our big family playing it.

It’s wild. Competitive. And there’s candy! What’s not to love?

How do you play?

You need one candy bar for each person playing. Ideally they are all different candy bars. You’ll also need at least two dice and a timer.

Put all the candy bars in the center.

Remind everyone that it’s a game and nobody cries. You think I’m kidding. I’m not. Everyone needs to be reminded and make a promise to not cry 😆.

Set the timer for 5 minutes.

One person begins rolling both dice. They get one chance to roll. If they get a 7, 11, or doubles, they get to pick a candy bar from the center and take it.

Not open it or eat it. Just hold it.

The next person rolls the dice. If they get a 7, 11, or doubles, they can choose to take a candy bar from the center or “steal” the bar from someone else.

* two ways to play when a bar is stolen. Either the player has to wait until their turn again to roll for another bar OR they get to take one from the center / steal from someone else. No steal backs on the same turn.

** you can play where the players have a chance to win more candy bars each time it’s their turn or play for one candy bar. Players would pass on their turn unless they wanted someone else’s bar. Still very exciting.

*** Another option is to hide the candy bar after you win it. When someone wants to “steal” it, they have to recall who has it and the candy bar that it is. If they guess wrong, their turn is over. No steal happens.

Lots of variations. Sometimes we start the 5-minute timer at the beginning of the game and other times the timer starts once everyone has a bar.
