It’s #internationalchestday Male or FEMALE! Read & Tag to share 👉🏾 To the ladies who have yet to discover the benefits of training chest, bear in mind that it can increase your overall upper body strength and improve your posture. ⁣

Myth: ‘I’ve heard training my chest will shrink my breasts’⁣

This is untrue, both men and women have the same pectoral muscles; however you have breasts that reside on top of your pectorals. Your breasts are mostly composed of fat, the amount of which is determined by genetics and hormones. ⁣

When you train with the intended goal of fat reduction, this can include the fat in your breasts. As much as I’m sure you wish you could choose, the gatekeepers of fat loss (and fat gain) answer to no one when it comes to what they target first. ⁣

So we should all know by now that spot fat reduction is a myth; crunches will not reduce belly fat and side bends will not ‘burn’ your love handles 🤦🏾‍♂️, apply the same logic and deduce that training your chest will not reduce the size of your breasts. ⁣

Now get under a bar and lift something heavy 💪🏾⁣
