This #ThrowbackThursday, we celebrate how our Apollo program captured the world’s attention and demonstrated the power of America’s vision and technology. This week, we are marking the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing which accomplished the national objective of landing humans on the Moon and returning them safely to Earth.

@_repos_ailleurs_ You are clearly going to persist ? Firstly the Moon landing photographs have been categorically proven to be genuine through extensive photographic forensic investigation by computer scientists from Dartmouth and the University of California, Berkeley, using the most sophisticated software that can reliably detect fake or altered photos. Secondly, you are correct in one respect, NASA did indeed have computer hardware and image processing software for enhancing and clarifying photographs in the 1960's, and just like Photoshop, it was applied to existing actual photographs. However, this is no cloak and dagger secret, or conspiracy, you can read an article for yourself on the history of NASA image processing here: https://history.nasa.gov/computers/Ch9-3.html
I hope that this helps.?

Come on @nasa we all know it's a greatest hoax in history of mankind. You have landing videos, first man landing on moon video, astronauts playing golf on moon, astronauts running here and there, research videos and finally takeoff videos. But what you don't have is that the Astronauts travelling from Earth to Moon videos. I mean there should be some videos they might have shot during the journey in the space between Earth and Moon. But there's nothing. Directly landing on Moon from taking off from Earth. Do you think we are illiterate or what. @nasa and USA.

@the_kat_whisperer it would be like going to Chevy and asking them to build a ‘67 Chevy, or going to Apple and asking them to make you an Apple II, or asking Boeing to make you an original passenger jet. They are al based on old, antiquated designs and primitive technologies. Picture this: the original Saturn V rocket was composed of a million different t parts. Many of them built by hand. Why in the world would you want to use those designs?

Technology combined with science has allowed us to reach places never explored! More stop investing exorbitant amounts in the search and exploration of life on other planets! You are ridiculous selfish! Don't invest at home (planet earth) and divert their intelligence, time and money from research on other planets. Invest first in our home!

@drumming_nz Yes, it is very sad that a number of people prefer to believe in and get excited about the ridiculous notion that the Moon landings were a hoax, rather than celebrate one of mankind's greatest achievements. I for one, can, and never will understand, that mindset.
