yawovimawuena This is scary @oldmanebro . I’ve used it myself before deleting it. They say even if you delete the app, it’s very very very hard to make them remove your pictures from their server. You have to send them a request and they have the right to accept it or not. This is fucked. Next time I see a trend I won’t jump on it. Lesson learn. Anyway I don’t have any picture of myself ok my phone that I wouldn’t have posted in the future so that’s ok but what about those 150M people who might have nude pictures of themselves in their phones?

coasterblack The agreement is built into downloading the app and should only apply to the altered image. Generally “copyright” belongs to the photographer unless otherwise agreed by the “model” or brand. So Faceapp “owns” the aged photo as that is an edit using their software. The original younger image may be subject to previous copyright that Faceapp can’t supersede without the copyright holder’s agreement/knowledge.
