Some winter skin inspo from @nataliesole to try and get me through my new skin diet the naturopath put me on. Turns out I also have psoriasis to go with my zits, cute combo lol. Nearly died of a sugar withdraw last night and want to cry without grains (I also have to give up dairy but don’t care as much about that) DM or comment with your food/skin/health success stories to keep me motivated on this treacherous journey 🍫🍝🍔🍛🍜🍕🌯🥟🍪

after getting my hormonal acne under control and sorted (a long process ?) I ended up with an awful fungal acne/malassezia break out and had to reset both my gut and skin microbiome. the anti inflammatory no sugar/ no grains/ no starches/ no dairy/ no fermented foods was a struggle for a couple weeks, but with a few supplements I was able to reintroduce all the foods I had to cut out and my skin has been happy for for over 6 months! it’s such a frustrating process but looking back a few weeks of struggling and adjusting was nothing compared to the amount of time i’ve spent not wanting to do things because of my skin

Poor thing! I hope it works for you! I had terrible acne for over 10 years. After trying everything possible in Poland I went on Roaccutane here in Aus. It was amazing but acne came back when I stopped it. It finally all went completely away when I started drinking apple cider vinegar. I drink quite a bit of it with water and it’s like magic. As soon as I don’t have it for a week or so all my problems come back so I know that it is it that works:) Powodzenia z twoją kuracją!

I was convinced that my acne came from sugar/dairy/gluten but eventually even after trying to swap to a strict vegan/celiac/low sugar diet I figured out that I just wasn’t responding well to high processed foods as well as fried food or food high in saturated fat. I had really dry skin and ever since I introduced a lot of healthy fats such as avocado and walnuts into my diet my skin has improved. Simple whole foods, and lots of water fixed my cystic acne. Basic fix.

Be really careful on a diet like this... I spent a fortune on a naturopath 2 yrs ago (the same diet they prescribe EVERYONE.. bet they said you’ve got “leaky gut too?” )and it was good for a while but then I got really unwell and it had the reverse effect! I then went to a proper clinical dietician who set me straight..
Turns out dairy/ gluten etc are NOT the enemy 👍🏻
No elimination diet should last longer than 6 wks

Check out @medicalmedium !! Changed my whole understanding about the main causes of acne and psoriasis. No dairy for me changed my skin, including cutting out milk chocolate, dairy ice cream, etc. Buy lemon balm in tincture form and put it in your water, it’ll help kill anything causing your psoriasis.

Oh! Also, check out Abraham + Esther Hicks’ interpretation of acne on YouTube. What they say is that acne can be caused by the mind//looking for it every morning, rather than expecting clear skin. This shift in ideology monumentally helped me. Let me know if you want more info, 💙
