After literally an ENDLESS amount of emails over the years, and I’m so sorry to those of you who asked but even some convincing names in convincing locations couldn’t get me to budge- I’ve finally got time to take on a handful of weddings. I could never give it a go despite knowing I would enjoy it because weddings are planned so far in advance and I’ve always lived for the moment.. very book my trip on the way to the airport kinda vibe (much to the dismay of everyone around me haha) and because my priority was keeping my schedule free for last minute jobs and especially the no notice trips- that would’ve meant letting someone down which just isn’t an option. However there is nothing spur of the moment about having a baby lolllll. I’ve gone from finding it weird and feeling smothered by the commitment of someone wanting to make loose social plans for the end of the week… in the middle of the week to a client asking about a job in a month and a half’s time and me being beside myself not knowing the location / exact start and end times yet. I honestly don’t know when and if I’ll ever be ready to devote so much of myself to full time shooting again so I feel this will be the most beautiful way to continue doing makeup which I love and miss, but at the same time being able to be a mum first.
