Who mows the lawn at Storm King Art Center, New York’s largest sculpture park? @stormkingartcenter isn’t a museum, exactly. The art pieces here are nestled in 500 acres of verdant hills, framed by lush landscape and exposed to the elements of the Hudson Valley. It takes a crew of eight to care for this complex, evolving environment: mowing the carefully sculpted lawns, trimming trees and keeping the sculptures clean and intact — all while making sure it’s environmentally friendly and hospitable to the local wildlife.
