I feel like when most people think of fitness, wellness or being in better health that you think of losing weight, losing inches or being more toned… and while that’s part of it, one of the things I love about being a #ColgatePartner is that they promote overall wellness, which includes oral health. The #NewColgateTotal helps keep your tooth enamel strong so you can rest assured you're strong from head to toe. Who’s trying it with me?

I use Pronamel because I have sensitive teeth, it’s the only thing that works for me now; I used to use Colgate, it was my favorite. No matter what brand you use your toothbrush is the most important tool. Either a sonicare or an oralB electric toothbrush is what is best along with flossing every day. I learned the hard way, all of my teeth are healthy but I have periodontal disease and since I’ve been using the sonicare and flossing everyday I’ve completely reversed it but if ever I get lazy the bacteria could cause problems again so I stay vigilant and always keep my daily routine up. It was also mentioned that poor oral health can cause health problems and this is very true, your body will fight the inflammation in your gums before any other part of your body so if your gums are bad you’ll have a losing battle going on in the rest of your body. Take it from one who has experience with gum disease, FLOSS for your health!

The point here is...Brush your damn teeth! As a hygienist, I can’t emphasize enough the connection between oral health and overall health. The mouth is the gateway to your body. As Hygienists we see a lot of evidence of poor overall health in the mouth. The gingiva appears different when you’re unhealthy, you don’t heal as well after cleanings and procedures, you get ulcers and lesions. The list goes on and on. You could brush your teeth with water alone and you’re still do your body a huge favor. It doesn’t have to be Colgate or whatever else is on the market. The mechanical action of brushing is what disrupts the bacterial growth cycle and lowers the load. So again, stop trying to tear apart every minutia of what is said and just take it for what it’s worth. A PSA. Love you, @shaunt Keep on keepin on!

I see a lot of people complaining about how poisonous this toothpaste is, but haven’t seen anyone suggesting a different brand, from the few comments I’ve read so far. I’ve been using Colgate for as long as I can remember, and my parents and grandparents before them... ?... BUT! I’m really open for suggestions. I just hope it doesn’t happen the same as that one time I tried to switch to organic deodorant (worst day of my life ??)

Thanks for promoting good dental health. As an oral cancer survivor I recognize the importance of not only good dental hygiene but regular check ups with your dentist as well. There were many times as I recovered from my surgery and radiation that I didn’t feel like working out but I pressed play anyway and your motivation kept me going even if I was heavily modifying LOL ! Thanks for being my inspiration every day!

It would be nice, if you are really into wellness for your people if you make a warning post of dozens of harmful chemicals in products like Colgate and others of the same company. It doesn’t mean you have to, but it means it is possible you do it. Even though nobody on earth would pay you for such an ad, the natural movement of energy of humble and sincere help will give you tons of rewards.

no Shaun! Look at the ingredients in this shit you are selling. SLS, PEG 12, sorbitol, saccharine, sucralose, xantham gum, oh and titanium dioxide which was just banned in France. This is not a good look for you. Some of these fools think you know healthy!
