Today I gained some more valuable insight as to what’s happening in the lion industry from someone with an ear to the ground. I’ve been feeling disturbed the whole day. It’s deeply concerning and involves a plethora of people from crooked police to corrupt officials to those who just couldn’t be bothered to get involved and so turn a blind eye and those that do, lives get threatened. There are an estimated 300 lion breeding facilities in South Africa with around 3 lions being shot in ‘canned’ hunts daily. This is not including lions being slaughtered for bones sold legally to SE Asia. Sometimes feels like a losing battle. mcvey926 Less than 6 months ago I had no idea what the situation was on lions. But thanks to running onto your YouTube channel, I now know the truth and have shared with friends. Thank you for re-educating me! I know that it is difficult to see the impact you are having, specially when those close to home don't "get it" or flat out don't care; but you are having an impact! Also thank you for giving the animals in your care such a safe, happy life. It has obviously been the difference between life and death for them; and for that we thank you!

janetbalena The news has been overwhelming in the last days and months. The messages being shouted around the globe on this issue, other animal and environmental issues are falling on deaf ears. We are fighting for legislation on Big Cats in the US, and some politicians help, some sit on their hands. In Africa it is worse, as these animals are the history and treasure of the continent. So many countries that plunder their own resources! It is beyond a disgrace. I do not know how you make officials with no morals or conscience wake up. ?

fosseyfrances Kevin silly question but what do you think of those wicked people who posed after killing that beautiful creature and what can be done to stop other people doing the same thing.why cant a law be bought it to prosecute them when it's done to boost their ego and not a controlled cull. I feel sick to my stomach and only wish I could do the same to them, there really are too many cruel people in this world who's aim is to harm or kill animals, a sad fact of life. shimmey.taylor whiskers are out of control but cute.i live in the UK and on the cover of one of the newspapers the daily mirror is a lion that has been shot dead and the couple that did it are having there photo taking kissing in front of it.they have killed other things too.i just wanted to cry.the paper says it's going to do all it can to put an end to it and has started a petition for people to sign so I did.might be worth reading it I'm sure it's on line.your truly amazing Kevin mel UK.

kerryberry37 It all comes down to greedy human beings that have no compassion for anything, all they care about is lining their back pocket with money made off the slaughter and fear of others, animal or human, until these people are no longer in power it will continue and these people in power won’t let do Gooders into government. These are the people that need to be shot sat at their desk unsuspecting, just like the animals. Keep going Kevin, it has to make a difference one day ?

diegoandmiyagi We have an inept, corrupt Goverment that are a disgrace to themselves, Mandela's legacy and the South African people who elected them. Their greed and avarice will not stop. Thank goodness for the Kevin Richardson Foundation and @vetpaw. It is beyond infuriating and sad that this "canned hunting" goes on. ?? What a shame that we have people with no respect or love of our country orvthe beautiful animals we have inherented.
