I’ve got a 6yo and 9yo and they both still call me Mama. But it’s Visiting Day at sleep-away camp tomorrow so who knows what’s going to happen.😩 What age did your kids make the transition? Follow @modernmomprobs who always has the most insightful posts!

parenting_fails_and_pigtails 35 and I will always call my mothero Mummy. My kids 9,9 & 7 call me Mama or Mummy and I hope it never changes. Gotta say age 15 was hard when I was an uncool frizzy haired loner living in the north with a plummy southern accent. But alas, Im thicker skinned than that! Mummy & Daddy for life ???

megalbagel04 My oldest two are 14 and 15 and just reached the age where they don't want to kiss me on the lips anymore and that hurt a lot more then when they started calling me mom ? . No one warned me about that part ??. Makes me appreciate my younger two still being stuck up my butt lol

twojaysmom @averageparentproblems - I have a 6 and 9 yo who still call me Mama too!!! And this morning I laid in bed with the 6yo who called me “Mommy” and instantly told me she didn’t like the way it sounded so I’m Mama forever. I hope so!!! ♥️

maybeitsmabil My son is 7 yrs old, and already started calling me Mom. And Momma. He called me Mami since he started talking and i CANNOT TAKE IT! The very first time he called me Mom, i told him to NEVER call me that again...... but im Mom now ??

average_crazy_mama My son is 11 and my daughter is 5 and they still call me Mama. They both say “my mom” when speaking to other people, but when addressing me directly they say Mama... because I ignore them if they call me anything else. ?

flowerchik77 My 26 year old daughter still calls me Momma. I am grateful for our relationship and closeness. She is a beautiful independent strong woman but I know “Momma” is her forever name for me and I love it!
