Today in London 1.5 million people are predicted to come out and celebrate Pride. My friends and I are throwing a fundraiser to raise money for @aktcharity, a charity that helps homeless LGBTQ+ young people. Kids who have been shamed and thrown out by their families for being who they are. For me growing up gay I felt really sad and would cry about it but thankfully I was never made homeless by my family. I felt shame and guilt and I prayed that I would wake up “normal.” There was bullying, constant jibes and a general consensus from society, Catholic school, TV, newspapers etc that being gay was gross or weird or funny or wrong.
This constant narrative does terrible things for your mental wellbeing and sense of self worth and you lose respect for yourself. Hence: Pride.
Which is why today we must go out and celebrate but also help people in less fortunate, more complicated situations. If you would like to contribute click the link in my bio to buy a raffle ticket - you can win amazing posh prizes too - swipe left to see them! Or you can go on their website and donate anything you like. No young person should have to choose between who they are and a safe place to live.

Oh, darling. I feel sad that you had to go through that (it's really, really hard - I know from my own experience) but I could not be happier or prouder of the bold, silly, kind, creative man you are. Thank you for your heartfelt honesty - so much love in my heart for you. And so much love for your chosen family and for Mesh. You deserve the WORLD, and I hope you know that. You deserve every bit of love and goodness and support and affection in this world. You're a ray of light. I mean this from the bottom of my heart. You're the embodiment of joy and wonder and glee. Thank you for being YOU. So proud of who you are and everything you've accomplished, and continue to accomplish. So much love ❤️

A lovely gesture by you, would it be good of you and your friends to donate/raffle off all of the free/sponsored items you get through your show, status, PA's, fashion shows etc? This would surely then produce a huge contribution to the cause? Hopefully this would rally others to dig deep and send more than a thoughtful/hopeful social media post to donate to a worthy cause. Are ticket buyers welcome to the low key raffle party draw to check how they have got on? I'm sure you and your friends won't mind, it's for charity ??

I feel so sad that anyone has to go through those feelings, it makes my heart hurt! It’s amazing that you speak out about how you felt so that people can see there is a way out and that being who they are are is more than okay?
