Whilst wondering around Montreal I came across this bit of art... Best statue award goes to 'The English Pug & the French Poodle'
#bonjourmontral #canada #thetwosnobs #dogsrule 🇨🇦🐩🐶 "A dashing looking English man, holding his pug, gives a superior stare at Notre-Dame Basilica, symbol of the religious influence on French Canadians. Feets away to the northern corner of the building, a woman in Chanel style suit, poodle against her, shoots an offended look to the Bank of Montreal’s head office, built in 1845-1847 and symbol of English power. With their masters oblivious to each other, the two dogs on the alert already sniffed out the opportunity to unite."

This is a great representation of the Canada of the past : English Canadians think that the Canada belongs to them, while French Canadians deeply hate the injustice that they're doing to the language and culture of the French Canadian. Today, many from the Quebec (like me) have no sense of belonging to Canada (like many Scots and Catalans) and the french language is threatened in the Canada

Did you know that the bank of Montreal is the first bank of Canada, build on St.Paul street in 1817? Montreal was also the capital of the Canada in 1840s (the parliament of the United Canada was in the actual Place D'Youville near Pointe-à-Callière Museum) ^^

Grab a "Queue de Castor" it's delicious! Oh and you can eat on the top of the Ville-Marie building. It's called "Les Enfants Terribles" and you can see all Montreal and the South and North shore! :D

Yeah, french canadian rejected religion completely after the horrors they did to us. Too many children were killed and rapped by 'sisters' and 'priests'
