In Jasper, deer are a fairly common sighting, however, a moment as touching as this is surely something special. Jasper is home to two different types of deer, the White-Tailed and Mule Deer. Amazingly, both White-Tailed and Mule fawns will gain enough strength and coordination to walk within the first day of being born! threepeasplease I love my infrequent opportunities to venture north and visit my brother in YK - we almost always see an abundance of wildlife, especially creatures larger and less common to the south I.e. Grizzlies, moose. I don't really have a preference - I am just happy to see wild creatures and hope that they are healthy and thriving. I would love to see a lynx in the wild some day. And I DO love foxes. Thanks for sharing all these beautiful pictures of our incredible wild treasures.
