After many customers voiced interest in more color options for their Action Office 2 installations, Herman Miller engaged Italian designer Clino Castelli to develop an entirely new Colors, Materials, and Fabrics program. For its introduction at Neocon 1983, Castelli designed a series of sculptural “altars” made from AO2 components to showcase the new color system. Herman Miller’s showroom won Best of Neocon that year. #tbt
