Human-wildlife conflict is an incredibly complex problem and the stakes for us to get it right in Botswana could not be higher. We need to collaborate to find humane, enlightened, innovative solutions – solutions that speak to a future of viable coexistence and genuinely effective conservation action. Trophy hunting does not belong in that future; it belongs in an era when the natural world was only something to be exploited, dominated and extinguished. Let’s leave it there.
