My best belt squat solution with set up and set down included for your enjoyment. It’s not very graceful at all, but it’s effective!! (trust me I’ve tried every way aside from the belt squat machine because I’m not buying one) I don’t like holding on to anything because it completely changes the feel (also I swear I’m not swimming idk what arms are doing), but the @roguefitness loading pin worked really well! Since my legs are 20’ long and my stance is on the wider side, I could use 35# plates on the pin with room to add plenty more. 8’s with a slight tempo, super setted with whatever quad pumper I feel like doing that day on intervals + a burnout today. -

I’ve been giving some SI/low back issues their sweet, sweet time to heal from the damn 140 jerk/knee THROUGH the floor since I have the time. We tried to train through for a week to compete at Nationals, but decided to take this route instead. Usually it’s “feel GOOD ENOUGH to survive training or a comp” when you tweak something, but I want to take time and address the lil things so I feel 100%. Been doing a lot of these, body building (it’s SHOWING) & A TON of other not so exciting things. Still training 8 sessions a week & they’re actually even longer than my regular sessions, but most of them are find a dark corner and GET TO WORK. We don’t have any machines in our gym, so it’s been fun getting creative making my own “machines” & doing things I’ve never done.
