I hear so many songs of idolized love when what I look for in music and in art is honesty. Sometimes it’s hard to be completely honest in writing songs... maybe I’m scared on some level to be seen with my naked heart or perhaps too direct... I aim higher in songwriting but at the moment colors and painting allow me to show that part of me that is more vulnerable.
