SHANTIさんのインスタグラム写真 - (SHANTIInstagram)「2018 I was done compromising myself as a person and musically. I was done being told “what a waste of talent”. I was done with people trying to make me fit into a superficial world. So I went and did something about it. I started a new project with @narducci_desoto. It started off as some exchanges of emails and tracks. I wanted to be in the same room writing songs. I flew to LA to make it happen. It did. We then decided to record it. We did. Then I came back to Japan and flew back to LA on another occasion to make the video. It did not happen overnight. It happened only because I had the help and cooperation of the LA TEAM. It came about because we all wanted to make this happen. All self invested. No one telling us what to do from behind a big desk of how music is supposed to sound. The only two things that are missing from making something happen is determination and action. All the while having fun. Marketing is only helpful if you’re trying to sell what’s been sold before. If what you are creating is something new and unheard of you just have to do it because marketing is based on what has happened in the past and products and statistics from the past. Don’t stop your creative flow by listening to posers. It’s great to be a badass at being you and nobody else.
