I used to travel all over the country for my sketchnotes work, and I enjoyed making a “location sketch” of the places I’d visit. First I’ll draw out the city name, then I’ll draw what it looks like, a fact about the area, or something iconic. Once I add color with Koi watercolor brush pens, I go back and add details with a smaller micron, and then make highlights with a white gellyroll. The best part is holding up my sketch in the place or icon I’ve drawn and taking a photo! @emily_a_mills
