At this one moment it feels like so many of the things I have wanted and worked for for so long are all coming at once - my third year with @si_swimsuit has arrived, I just launched my collection with @primadonnalingerie, I am wearing my @primadonnalingerie collection IN my @si_swimsuit spread! These are two of my biggest goals, and they are aligning and coming to life at the same time 🙈 I won’t deny that I am relishing this moment to brag a bit, but what I REALLY want to say is this - you never know when things will turn around for you, but just know that they always will. In the past year alone I have felt bouts of depression so deeply that I struggled to get out of the house every day. I’ve had months pass by at a time without a single job. I have wondered time and time again if my goals were unachievable, if my time would ever come. I know how annoying #humblebrag posts can be, but it’s important for me to tell whoever needs to hear it - those low moments cannot and will not last forever. Just keep grinding, keep fighting, and one day you’ll get there. Maybe it will all happen at once! And a special note to any models who are feeling discouraged about reaching the heights you want to in your career - 13 years ago when I started working, there were NO models that looked like me working in the industry. There was straight size and there was plus. Nothing in between. It would be impossible to count the amount of times I have been told that I wasn’t getting the work I wanted because “no one wants to book your size”. And you know what? I never fucking gave up.
