The amount of hands that are ready to receive whatever that might be, and the importance of that in our lives. Find people who are ready to hold whatever you put down and who will sit without judgment in complete understanding. The ones who can look at you in the eyes when they are filled with fear or courage. THESE ARE YOUR PEOPLE. If you have 1 or 50 like this in your life - next to you or across the world - who will allow you to show up however messy you might feel and greet you with the same open arms as they did the day before — glue them to your heart. Even if you have only felt that with someone who is no longer physically here, that feeling still is. Love does not die. Carry it with you. Create it again within yourself. How full is love and life and death that we can carry it in our hearts forever. Those connections and memories are what matter. The feelings of raw vulnerability when snot is dripping down your face and your heart is broken in pieces and you are holding it in your hands saying THIS IS ME and someone or something - maybe a memory or a physical person is there to look you in the eyes and say I SEE YOU AND ALL THAT YOU ARE. There are people who you haven’t met yet or maybe you haven’t been BRAVE ENOUGH TO LET IN - people you have shared a lifetime of laughs with or one raw moment of honesty. They are there. Literally everywhere. People to connect with. When we open ourselves up to connection, RAW AND REAL CONNECTION, people will show up and surprise us.
