“The 3 fastest-growing areas of online communication are private messaging, groups and Stories,” said Facebook’s chief executive Mark Zuckerberg in an interview with The New York Times. On Tuesday, the company unveiled a redesign of its app and site that will promote these kinds of group-based communications instead of News Feed, and will make Facebook “more trustworthy,” Mark said. The redesign is the most tangible sign of how the privacy scandals and the user-data issues that have roiled @Facebook are forcing change at the company. “There’s still a lot more to do,” Mark said, adding that the spotlight on the company had “definitely prompted more introspection around what direction our services should go in.” @choutoo shot this portrait of @マーク・ザッカーバーグ.
