There are a lot of reasons I love living in Colorado. The Diamond is one. Another is that the state currently has some great representatives that want to pass the most ambitious climate action bill in the country.
.............................................................URGENT CALL TO ACTION.
HB-1261 wants to reduce statewide greenhouse gas emissions by 26% by 2025, 50% by 2030 and 90% by 2050.
...............................................................It’s really coming down to the wire on this one. 2 days left to get this passed. Please call these people and let them know you support HB 1216
Steve Fenberg (Boulder) 303-866-4872(senate number)
Kerry Donovan (vail) 970-279-1867
Dominick Moreno 720-985-1132

@samwell121 Canada is actually the worst pound for environmental country there is it's not America or India. Look there are plenty of reasons not to do something. Whether it be because you think the science makes sense or not, whether you think other countries are responsible and should have to go first. But at the end of the day none of that matters. Our planet is dying and it doesnt care if it was India or Canada. China or USA. It just needs the leaders of the world to start making changes. That means on a federal scale our politicians and elected officials need to start prioritizing the climate over a good pipeline deal. And it means on a day to day level civilians leaders need to reduce their emissions and waste output. I can only control my own life and you can only control yours. The question is whether you care enough to make a difference. Not does India, not does china, do you?

@smiles2happiness you're correct. Capitalism let's innovation thrive. We are making great strides in finding better energy alternatives. But to diminish current practices kills the economy, job market, and legislative measures have historically never helped an idea or industry thrive, they simply deplete the very foundation of our current successes. You cannot productively legislate change. But you can open up the competitive market and accelerate and expedite that desired change.

@t__hays I built wind and solar arrays to take multiple houses completely off the grid. The designs for the wind turbines we used are 300% more efficient then the Monopoly GE windmills our country is mandated to use, at 1/100 the cost. If that is doing nothing, what do you call cheering on a bill designed to make a few individuals ultra-wealthy on Instagram?

Just watched Dawn Wall, it was like a metaphor for life, my son is hearing impaired and the challenges we have faced compare nothing to what you have achieved, but, it gave such hope and inspiration, you can achieve so much if you focus, thank you so much for your story ❤️❤️❤️

Bring on the increased tax rates. Reminds me of the push for fixing our infrastructure, I still haven’t seen that pot hole fixed. If they can’t do that then how do you expect these people to change the course of climate change?
