Silvery clouds drift away to reveal wet dunes and fresh snow on the mountains last week at #GreatSandDunes National Park and Preserve in #Colorado. After rain, artistic patterns appear on the dunes due to various layers and types of sand that dry at different rates. Sharply ridged 'Chinese Walls' are also visible on the crests of each dune, formed from reversing wind directions.
