マイケル・フランティさんのインスタグラム写真 - (マイケル・フランティInstagram)「Last night I performed at the 30th Annual Goldman Environmental Prize award ceremony. 🌍 Each year the Goldman family honors grassroots environmental activists from each of the 6 inhabited continents. @algore gave a rousing talk about the fight for our climate, and I got to spend a few minutes with him before the event asking him about the Democratic candidates for President. He has yet to choose one to get behind but he said he was impressed with how @pete.buttigieg seems to have taken most of the conversation. I asked him if he’d consider running again and he said, “yes” he’s considered it many times, but as a “recovering politician”(his words) he feels he may be more effective in the role he’s in now as and activist. We also had the pleasure of having @acousteau emcee the event. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ The big thrill of the night for me was to perform #TheFlower with the Oakland School of The Arts choir, @osavocalrush An inspiring group of young people who had worked hard to put together a beautiful arrangement of the song about bullying, gun violence and tenacity. We followed that with a rocking version of #SayHeyILoveYou.
