@johnsingleton sent this to me only a few weeks ago for my bday on March 28th! John made such a big impact on me and was a huge inspiration with his first film #BoyzNTheHood I was there when he first pitched the idea for the film to Russell in around 1989! We became friends before we made movies and nothing changed from day one! Huge talent with the biggest heart and generosity of spirit. #JohnSingleton is a giant of a man - giant in his accomplishments, giant in his vision, giant in his loyalty and concern towards others, giant in his energy and passion in making films. He has always given more to this industry than he took. He made us all that had the benefit of knowing him feel important and good. He inspired his actors to perform beyond the limits of their abilities. There was a personal side to every relationship with John. It was never all business. He derived his success from his relationships with people, not his position in Hollywood. He will be missed. Love you John. G-d bless you and keep you! #RIP
