This piece wasn’t even part of the show or for sale, just sitting alone as decoration but I was instantly drawn to it. When I look at this stone I see a perched dragon roosting with his wings tucked in a relaxed stance but somehow looming or even observing his surroundings, he’s aware and also content in his current state. He’s powerful and is confidently in tune with the immense energy he gives off even when in a non threatening position. I know that’s not what it’s intended to be, it’s just a rock that just so happen to break in the shape it is now but I can’t unsee it after painting a mental story for this creature in my mind. After showing my amazingly talented friend, he was generous enough to help recreate my vision of this fantasy into a work of art I can hold onto forever and admire. The last time I had a feeling like this was when we were hit with a desert storm where I live a few years ago and a cloud overhead took the form of a dragon breathing fire (I still have that post on my feed) I edited my vision over it to show what I was seeing when I looked at it.
