I have never seen so much TP in my life. And it’s great. No plastic, 100% bamboo TP experiment commencing. But seriously, F U Charmin, cutting down old-growth forests to wipe our bums is absolutely not ok. This @whogivesacraptp is $52 for a box of 48 premium rolls which is what... $1.083333333 per roll. Cheap cheerful responsible and funky. Update: yes they are soft. Not as soft as the pulp of ancient soft-wooded forests, but soft enough for us chickens

saraeileifr Wow that’s a brilliant idea! There’s so much misinformation (or rather industry propaganda) that trees make such a great sustainable material for all sorts of things, and I definitely don’t oppose the use of wood or other tree-based materials, but just because it’s biodegradable it’s not sustainable. The wood/paper industry needs to be way more responsible in their harvesting and maintaining of the forests of the world. We’re losing so much “real” forests here in Sweden, giving way for fields of fast growing trees. A Forest is so much more than just a large number of trees grouped together. It’s the mosses, the grasses, the fungi, the insects, the spiders, the birds, the berries, the old trees, the young trees, the fallen trees, the lightning struck trees... I could go on for ages. We need to protect them.

pamrobins1 Thanks for the review of the toilet paper. I’m looking into get a box for myself. Yes, it might not be as soft, but I look at it like ice cream. Would I prefer to have a large scoop of ice cream with all the toppings, absolutely, yummy. But what I usually get instead is a cup of low cal soft yogurt with no toppings. Is it as good? Not really. Is it good enough that it satisfies my sweet tooth? Yep it sure does, and my thighs and bum thank me for it. Now this new toilet paper, will it be as soft as using Charmin on my bum, no not really, but will this new toilet paper be soft enough? Yep, it sure will, and the environment will thank me for it.

annkatrinhahn I only buy recycled toilet paper; I don't care that it's not as soft as Charmin, the trees are more important than my bum! ?
