FANTAGIRL, I am the woman I am. 🧡 Our ongoing project features today @b_sturc, photographed by @jocelynleephotography ✨ Bianca: ‘I am a 28-year-old artist and student with disabilities living in Portland, Maine in the US. I currently work at a peer center where I support people living with mental health challenges and other adversities, like, homelessness and substance use. I'm also finishing up my undergraduate studies; in May I'll earn my degree in social work. I also work with my twin sister Riel in a film photography series titled Chasing Light. We co-collaborate to create images that explore themes in my lived experiences, and host artist talks. We seek to encourage dialogues about the topics our series includes, like identity, disability, illness, and accessibility. I also paint and create mixed-media work. #Fantagirl is a project by the brand @fantabody_ in collaboration with Vogue Italia. An ode to the female body, regardless of its shape and skin colour. A research that promotes embracing diversity as a starting point for addressing topics such as disability, immigration and sex work, which are approached with an inclusive, curious and prejudice-free attitude. Fantabody was founded by @carolina_amoretti in 2015.
