They planned to kill the dogs after the experiments were finished (If the dogs survived the testing) but luckily the Humane Society stepped in and managed to get 32 of the beagles out of the laboratory to be rescued (4 beagles were sadly unaccounted for). People don't like to believe this happens to animals, but it does, so close to home, and beagles are often the animal of choice. This is why I rescued a beagle, Theo. There is so much we can do as a society to stop this inhumane testing. We can support and rescue dogs from @beaglefreedom and we can make a commitment to support #crueltyfree companies.
