Amsterdam-based design duo @formafantasma has transformed ash from Mount Etna into a collection of porcelain tiles, topped with a glaze of melted volcanic ash for architectural materials company @dzekdzekdzek. Titled ‘ExCinere,’ the tiles are on view at @alcova.milano for #milandesignweek. ‘We always think that, as designers, we have to decide things, but the world also decides things for us,’ says Formafantasma’s Simone Farresin.
