essenceq Why go to school to make $20 an hour when you can simply work at a gas station or fastfood restaurant. Your pay is based on your knowledge and credentials, not simply because of the hours you work. Explain to me how it would make sense for an ultrasound technician to make as much as a cashier?

michael_paules The problem with that us it will cost jobs and the manufacturer and retailers will raise prices so high they will be unaffordable. Then we the will just create more poverty.

surgeeuhoh Rent for a 1 bedroom in Austin, Tx is about $1000 plus $15 an hour isn’t gonna cut it.
