🌿📌...I’m having an Open Weekend ‘A Studio Life’ here at my house in Brighton next Sat 13th & Sun 14th, 10am - 6pm, in collaboration with artist Jo Sweeting @thestonecarver.
How we both live and create in our homes ( as well as my shed and Jo’s workshop ) feels integral to our work because our homes always provide a backdrop of inspiration, and house a constantly changing source of ideas for us both.
Our open houses will have sketchbooks, old work, new work, work in progress, bespoke textiles, arty mess, and other random bits and pieces which would probably get cleared away for the more shop-like Open houses during May.
I’ll be able to talk to you more about my process, my #synaesthesia, how I approach commissions, what workshops I run, my book…and if you’re really lucky, my love of dirty telephone boxes!
So if you fancy a trip to Brighton next weekend to have a nose around 2 artist’s houses, just as they live and work in them, do pop in to say hello!

salgoodwin May has come early 👏🏻👏🏻 I'll be visiting. I live very near & have only skimmed the May houses in recent years but think I may have visited when you had map lamps (?) anyhow I didn't know about all the colour, table work and she'd till now. I think a 'working' open house is infinitely more interesting in many ways 🍀
