Another Round of a view into my accessory training. This week we are working on body weight and lighter stability work to continue to work on trunk stability.
⚡️One of my favorite things that @powerandgraceperformance do is at the end of every workout we have some sort of accessories programmed into out workouts. I’m a huge fan of strength and conditioning and applying it to weightlifting. It not only helps organize the body properly but it also allows you to do different things that just squat, snatch clean and jerk. This has been a big proponent of keeping me healthy in my training.

1. Upside Down Kettlebell Waiter Walk 3X30ft (Important: Keep arms at a 90 degrees, keep your chest tall, contract your abs, think about sliding your scapulas down, continue to breathe while walking. Purposefully engage glutes and pull rib cage down to avoid anterior pelvic tilt and overly extended lumbar.  Also start with one arm and master that first before trying two.)
2. Chin Up Static Hold 3X20 seconds (Important: Make sure you’re once again sliding your scapulas down so they are not “winging” out in the static hold. Pull sternum to belly button, point toes, squeeze glutes and quads trying to reach out with your toes to the wall in front of you. You should see a flat line from cervical spine to lower lumbar)
3. Ring Plank 3X40 seconds (Important: Belly button to sternum, engage glutes and prevent lower lumbar extension and anterior pelvic tilt)
4. Ring Row Static Hold; 3X20 seconds in hollow rock hold. ( Important: belly button to sternum, engage glutes and prevent lower lumbar extension and anterior pelvic tilt)
