So in @jayandsilentbob Reboot, we expand the world of Ranger Danger - a character that once appeared on Randal’s t-shirt. While prepping the I’ll-fated Clerks III, Fat Man logo artist @captain_ribman and I crafted comic covers that trace the history of Ranger Danger, the Danger Rangers and their arch nemesis, Andronicus Kong, the Ape from Space! You can see obvious nods to Kirby and Adams, as well as our Thanos-flavored crossover event, The Infinity Blocker! The art sat dormant on my laptop until we got the #jayandsilentbobreboot green light - at which time I repurposed the comic covers (Jay wears the Miller-esque gritty cover on his shirt the whole movie) and asked Ribman to create a new Ranger Danger book that plays pretty prominently in the first act. Now that we’re done with the flick, it might be time to actually make these into real comics (something I’ve been talking about doing with @dynamitecomics for a long time).
