In some ways it was easier 30 years ago to put things on the street, because a lot of cities weren’t as smart about stopping street art, and it wasn’t as popular as an art form. Now there are a lot more opportunities to do walls with permission, which can be great for more ambitious and complicated pieces.
This progress shot of my Paint It Black mural, in collaboration with @positivepropaganda from 2015 showcases the kind of labor-intensive work it takes to get these large scale murals completed. You can see there's a process and a major value to work with a team in order to execute these efficiently.
