For the record, I am totally down with #dandelions in my yard.
Mowing lawns for money as a kid in Connecticut, it was all about preventing those little yellow flowers from blaspheming that perfectly homogeneous green carpet out front. Now... f*ck it. Bring ‘em on. Why hate on a few pops of color? It’s funny the assumptions you adopt without examination... and the odd little rush you get when you throw out something you’d simply taken for granted as true for most of your life.
What have you come to see differently as you settled into #adulthood?

Great question. Love your posts.I’ve come to see so many things differently. I used to live a pretty high profile life where I was unwittingly coaxed to fit in, and belong, lest I’d draw negative attention to myself. But I was always an outlier at heart. A rebel spirit. Now, I’m enjoying being myself again. Too many examples to list. Primarily, I believe we can heal ourselves through plants, and healing techniques. I love and respect all doctors, but I prefer to heal myself naturally. My medicine cabinet is my refrigerator. 💗

University of Rochester has Dandelion Day!! just another thing that we are conditioned to dislike, we called them weeds. More people would have been using them for good for decades if we weren't told they were bad weeds! Just like the other kind of weed that was outlawed but it's good for us. Funny how that happens. 😉

Agreed. I've never understood why people hate these spots of sunshine, (or why anyone cares about their lawn to begin with). Although, we have snow again and I long for green leaves and sunshine on my face.

Same! Seeing what I used to call “weeds” as wildflowers. Many of which attract 🐝. Also perfection is bullshit. Kinda goes with the whole weed thing really.

I've come to the realization that I don't want to wait for my life to be over. I just want to know right now. Will it be yes or will it be, sorry?

My daughters would be mad when I cut the grass and the dandelions would be gone. None here yet in the CLE. It snowed yesterday. Happy spring! 🌸
