Want to know the BEST, cheapest way to exercise when you are on holidays? WALKING! LISS stands for "Low Intensity Steady State". Explained simply, this is an exercise completed at a consistent, steady pace. The best and easiest example is WALKING. Whether you're on a treadmill or outdoors, walking is such a great place to start for beginners in fitness BUT is beneficial for all fitness levels. For the ladies on holidays, I recommend 3-5 LISS sessions per week, 30 minutes each. My favourite place to walk on holiday is at the beach, 15 minutes up, 15 minutes back at a constant steady pace (this means no breaks!). P.S This is why I do NOT count walking my dogs as LISS training.
