Code First Girls are a social enterprise on a mission to change society's image of a coder as 'a man in a hoodie behind a screen'. Aiming to make women more visible within the tech industry @codefirstgirls want to help 20,000 women #LearnToCode for free by 2020.

“If you ask someone ‘can you name a few famous women in tech?’ they would probably struggle. I think people usually visualise a typical male environment, lots of men working on computers. So one of our goals is to tackle masculinity in tech and to show that there is room for women as well. I think that’s the most important thing - that we actually show women. Tech is better when it's diverse.”
