Read the interview with @ethanjamesgreen by @chiaranonino in our March issue and via link in bio. ‘Now New York is all about street casting, but at the beginning, I had to fight to shoot my friends for magazines. Little by little, things are changing. I had moments though where I wanted to cast with all models of color and the magazine would be like, “Oh no, sorry. We did that in the last issue.” Or people would come by and be like “Can you shoot all of your trans friends with this brand of jeans?” while misgendering them. Now it’s good to see all the diversity, but the real test is to see if they do it next season, and if they can do it without having to write the word diversity all over the campaign. I always think about what Bethann Hardison said about how casting should look like what you see on the street.’ #EthanJamesGreen
