If it weren’t for my friend introducing me to her old sorority sister, I wouldn’t have totally changed industries and worked at my last company (or at least, I wouldn’t have been one of the early employees). The small connections I’ve made throughout my career have sometimes yielded huge and unexpected results. As a result, I love making connections and networking. Especially now, as I work for myself, I try to say yes to to things like events, coffees, work sessions—anything to keep connections moving; I’ve introduced blog readers to old colleagues, met with complete strangers to chat about what my journey, gone to events where I didn’t know anyone. I’m teaming up with @linkedin and taking the #PlusOnePledge, by sharing my time, talent and connections with people outside of my regular network. You never know what will come of it for someone and honestly, you never know what someone will say unless you ask (you've gotta dream big!) We’re all #InItTogether, after all!
