We did not know at the time that this would be Karl’s last editorial work. Karl Lagerfeld worked closely with @ELLE Magazine’s Creative Director Stephen Gan on a photo shoot set in his garden outside Paris. Karl opened up the space, which had never before been photographed for a magazine, to ELLE to showcase his cruise collection on a quartet of top models (@ジョアン・スモールズ, @ナターシャ・ポーリー, @yasminwijnaldum, and @ハナー・ファーガソン)
At his suggestion, the portfolio also featured Virginie Viard, the brand’s fashion studio director and Lagerfeld’s longtime right hand, and violinist Charlie Siem, a close friend. Chanel announced today that Viard will succeed Lagerfeld as the house’s creative director. @シャネル @virginievard
