We asked Mitchell: How does your work ask you to be bold? “I think my work asks other people, specifically black people, to be bold and to see themselves in ways they may not have considered.” How would you describe your shoot with Robbie Spencer? “We were trying to do something regal, but in a DIY way. We took the clothes to Miami, which could perhaps be seen as stuffy, and photographed them outside – more free-form, on new faces you may not have imagined being dressed in them” ☁️⠀
