We asked Pearmain: What is the most sublime landscape you’ve seen? “I’m into any sad, industrial coastline. The Kent coast on a wet Tuesday afternoon. Morrissey, eat your heart out.” What was your first job? “Pot washer. I was quite into it.” If you were king for a day, what law would you enact? “Repossess all the empty housing in London and offer it to homeless people. I guess we could start with Buckingham Palace.” How would you describe Riccardo Tisci’s Burberry? “Inclusive, insightful, inquisitive, instinctive.” How did you approach capturing that for this story? “Rianne channelled the idea of something unhinged but chic at the same time. It’s quite Princess Margaret, now that I think about it” ✨⠀
