As Patron, The Duchess of Cornwall, hosted a reception for the London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children at #BuckinghamPalace today – arriving at the Palace in a low emission taxi.
The London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children (LTCFC) dates back to 1928, when a driver named Mick Cohen, who had grown up in the Norwood Orphanage, recruited 12 drivers to organise an outing and raise money for the Home. Today, the LTCFC are known for organising outings to the seaside and holding exciting events for special needs and disadvantaged children including trips to the theatre and Christmas parties.
