♻️?..I’ve decided on a new personal project!
I’m going to try and make some sort of hat or headpiece each week with all my un-recyclable household plastic. Not only does it feel like I’ve then at least made an effort to put it to some purpose but it also makes me really look at what it actually is and whether it’s avoidable. This headpiece contains all sorts of plastic including redundant school work wallets, tofu packaging, notebook wrapping, chocolate wrappers and loo roll plastic, plus a ball point pen and and cd cover. There are also a few bits in there which I can get recycled, like a cereal bag and a plastic bag I ripped up and into different sizes and coloured with a pink Sharpie.
The idea of highlighting our plastic over consumption here on my feed this morning is, on a day when there will definitely be a lot of excessive plastic happening, my kind of peculiar and alternative Valentine to the earth! ?♻️
