When they try and count you out- God has other plans! -Gibson, a multi Grammy nominated singer, is currently shooting Black & Blue for Sony Screen Gems and will soon begin shooting the ninth installment of The Fast and the Furious Franchise -- rose to prominence after being hand-picked by John Singleton for the title role in Baby Boy and his subsequent feature film, ‪Four Brothers‬. He gained significant international acclaim with key roles in the Transformers and Fast & Furious franchises – both of which have grossed over 5 billion each at the box office.  Other credits include ‪Black Nativity‬; Paul W.S. Anderson’s sci-fi thriller Death Race with Jason Statham, Joan Allen and Ian McShane; the horror-action film Legion alongside Dennis Quaid and Paul Bettany; Brad Furman’s crime drama The Take opposite John Leguizamo and Rosie Perez; ‪Flight of the Phoenix‬; Singleton’s ‪Four Brothers‬ with Mark Wahlberg and André Benjamin; and Annapolis, directed by Justin Lin; and Vondie Curtis-Hall’s Waist Deep; and recently recurred on Lee Daniels’ music drama Star for FOX.  Gibson also wrote and starred in director Paul Hunter’s Shame opposite ‪Jennifer Hudson‬, which he produced with Denzel Washington.  The film won ‘Best of Fest’ at the 2016 LA Film Shorts Festival. 
In music, Gibson’s sixth studio album “ Black Rose” was released independently, by his label Voltron Recordz and distributed by Caroline Records. "Shame" was nominated for two Grammys and was #1 on the R&B charts for 16 weeks. "Black Rose" debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.  The author of two self-help New York Times bestsellers, How to Get Out of Your Own Way and Manology, Gibson is  a nationally recognized advocate for young people, and founded The Love Circle Foundation with the mission of “creating mentorship" and exposure opportunities that embolden young men and women to dream beyond their current reality and become better versions of themselves”.
