"First shoot for 2019 and wanted to make it a good one, so I headed to Ross Jones Memorial pool at Coogee Beach, an iconic spot for both photographers and swimmers alike. Knowing how popular the spot is, I made sure to get there early, arriving just after 4:00AM to scout and setup my composition. It’s lucky I did as at least a dozen fellow photographers arrived leading up to sunrise! A lesson I’ve learned quickly, if you’re wanting to shoot a popular spot, make sure you get there early, or scope the scene out prior as the last thing you want is to be rushing to setup your shot!" - @hijinxphotography
