@Tim Laman Wildlife Photo Tips: How do I get shots like this porpoising Adelie Penguin? Anticipation! By predicting/guessing where the penguin will surface and starting to shoot before it comes out of the water. Swipe to see more. When the penguin is moving perpendicular to you, you can see through the water and track him, like in the video clip and shots from the side. But when they are coming strait towards you, it’s hard to guess where they will come up. But watch for patterns in their behavior, and don’t be afraid to shoot a lot of blanks. Deleting is easy!
