This week’s #RMM is 34 year old realtor Candice Payne, a Chicago local who made a spur-of-the-moment decision that would impact the lives of many. When the temperatures in Chicago dropped to a deadly polar vortex of well below 0 degrees, 100+ homeless people found themselves in a warm hotel room with food and clothing provided thanks to her. Not only did she cover their multiple night stays, but Payne included personalized care packages of toiletries, prenatal vitamins, lotions, deodorants and snacks to make the people feel more comfortable. Now people from the community are following her lead. The hotel rooms for homeless people have doubled as new sponsors are calling the hotel each day. It’s so incredible to see what a temporary fix has done to inspire many. Thank you for your huge act of kindness and generosity, Candice! You are admired by many!
